Hazards
Tsunamis can cause lots of damage, environmentally and economically. A tsunami can come without warning and has the ability to wipe out whole towns in the matter of seconds. Tsunamis can be very environmentally harming, as the wave will wash more and more debris from each wave. Tsunamis can completely rearrange ecosystems and flood fresh water with seawater, bringing in toxic pollution and sand.
We can reduce the damage caused by future tsunamis by being tsunami aware.
Everyone should know the signs of a tsunami, especially if you live by the sea. You should know what to do if natural signs or a tsunami warning is announced. Try your best to keep calm and not panic.
